Dentures are a time-tested and effective solution for replacing missing teeth. At Littleton Dental Care, we concern ourselves with the details of making dentures that work for our patients. There is no getting around the fact that dentures have limitations and a set of frustrations. We will do everything we can to minimize these factors. Success in denture making and wearing is largely dependent on the state of the mouth, dentist and lab skill, and the attitude of the patient who wears them. Generally speaking, upper dentures have fewer difficulties than lowers, due to anatomic reasons. Rest assured that we take our responsibility seriously and will guide you through the process.
There are different types of dentures: complete dentures (replace all teeth in a jaw), partial dentures (replace at least one tooth in a jaw), and overdentures (held in place and secured by implants or “mini” implants). “Immediate” dentures are made prior to teeth being removed, and allow a patient to avoid the period of time with no teeth. These may or may not be long-lasting, depending on the amount and type of changes that occur following extraction. Make an appointment today to see if one of these solutions is right for your needs.
